Release v1.2
AI tutor rework, thinking states and image uploads
Your AI tutor has been rebuilt from the ground up. You can chat freely, watch it think, and see exactly where its sources come from. Images work on any message, there's a faster mode for quick answers, and export and feedback tools are built right in. Underneath it all, a more reliable streaming backend keeps things running smoothly.
Open-ended chat and conversations
- The first prompt is no longer locked, so you can start a new free open-ended chat with the tutor and ask anything you like.
- Conversations now have their own links, generated titles that stay put when you rename them, and paging so older chats are easy to find.
- Start from a guided sentence and break out into free text whenever you want.
Thinking states and sources
- New thinking states show the searches the tutor runs and the sources it draws on, so you can see how an answer was built.
- Tutor mode has a refreshed layout, with clearer replies, tool cards and a cleaner sidebar and composer.
Images on any message
- Attach images to any message by pasting, dragging and dropping, or using the picker.
- Explain now includes the question and marking guide images in its conversation, and your uploaded images stay available in the chat.
Export, copy and feedback
- Export a whole conversation or copy any single message.
- Edit a message, retry, continue a stopped reply or regenerate an answer.
- Flag a response to send feedback when the tutor gets something wrong.
Fast mode
- A new Fast mode makes the tutor respond about twice as fast, ideal for quick questions and revision on the go.
- Fast mode doesn't actually do anything I'm sorry - JZ.
Speed and reliability
- Chat now streams from the main site instead of a separate service, which makes replies start sooner and run more smoothly.
- If you press Stop or lose connection, your message and the partial reply are saved, and Continue picks up where it left off.
- Clearer error messages, and syllabus point matching that now uses embeddings for more relevant results.
Flashcard improvements
- Refreshed flashcard interface with a cleaner, more polished study experience.
- Users can now end flashcard sessions whenever desired.
- Flashcards can be flagged during study and focused using the subsets filter before starting a flashcards session.
- Added filters for low, medium, high and unseen flashcard confidence levels before starting a session.
Backend and question atlas
- Rewrote various backend systems for better performance and reliability.
- Refactored the question atlas for better caching and server-side rendering, so pages load faster.
- You can now bookmark questions in the question atlas and save them to study later.
Fresh new Homepage
- Adapted the homepage for more devices with improved animations
- Content updated
